Style 6, the Board. Round 3

Dave on Round 2 (2026-09-12): "I still see all this blank space on the very top of the card." The band above the red rule is where an index card carries its title, so it takes the job label, small and uppercase in the condensed face, on the left, and the favicon on the right. Three ways below on the cork card, then the whole set with the third, which is my pick. The label is the Tear's stamp by another name: it changes with the job (Seller tip, Market note, This is normal, No pitch, Thank you, the holiday).

The band, three ways

Favicon only
BH-aThe favicon alone, top right in the band. The bottom corner empty.
Label, favicon below
BH-bThe job label in the band, the favicon where Round 2 had it, bottom right.
Label and favicon
BH-cThe label left and the favicon right, both in the band. My pick: the band is used and the card's body is clean.

Seeded from Brett's community-board, number 93 on his board, whose rebuild you read as more of the same. It was. This starts from what a board is: the board is the whole ground, cork in a wood frame or felt with a metal edge, and two or three things are pinned to it at slight angles, each its own object with its own paper and its own shadow. An index card carries the line. A photograph, a strip with a count, a manila tag with the county. You are a business card pinned in the corner, and that is where the mark lives, once, navy on white. Its own type: a marker for the line, a hand for the labels, plain sans for the body.

What every one of them already does. One mark, on the business card. The watermark on the board. The line on two lines on the index card, the paragraph under it, the red hand line under that, the job label and the favicon in the band above the red rule. Your name, credential and phone on the card. Nine ways below, each isolating one thing: the board's surface, the line's face, how many things are pinned, what holds them. Pass or note each by name.

The board

Cork
BD-corkCork in a wood frame. The card, the photo, the tag, the business card. Red pins. The baseline.
Felt
BD-feltDark green felt with an aluminum edge, the same four things, the watermark in white.
Navy felt
BD-navyNavy felt. Color is a parameter; any felt, any frame.

The line and the things

Kalam
BD-kalamThe line in a softer hand instead of the marker.
Three things
BD-threeThe card and a strip carrying the count. A count, never a price.
One card
BD-oneThe minimal board: one big card, your round print, and the business card.

The holders and the jobs

String
BD-stringRed string from pin to pin, straight, center to center, the way a case board does it. It ties to the tip cardThe pins it ties sit on the board, so the string never crosses the paper.rsquo;s corner, then the photo, then the business card, and runs just outside the paper.
Thank you
BD-thanksThe thank-you: the label reads Thank you, a handwritten card beside the photo of the porch, a small round print of you beside the business card.
Tape
BD-tapeEverything taped instead of pinned.
