Dave's note on round 2, applied. "I like this much better. I love the different variations of the different expressions." The face was the problem: Fraunces made the numbers, and some letters, hard to read. So the face changes and nothing else does: Bitter, a sturdy slab serif with open, unambiguous numerals, 800 for the headlines and the big numbers, 600 for the labels, 400 for the copy. The five expressions, the centered build, the bigger lockup and the idea-bank material are as they were.
What to rule on. The face, on the numerals first: the calendar days, the 32 on the dial, the day numbers on the spine. Pass or note by name.
Five expressions
TL-schoolTHE CALENDAR. Back to school, from the idea bank: a June with the days marked, list on the first, contract on the ninth, clear on the thirtieth.TL-tookTHE SPINE. What this took: forty-four days from first call to keys, every stop dated down the center.TL-domTHE DIAL. What this number means: days on market as a clock, the median at 32, priced right gone at 14, the overpriced past sixty.TL-processTHE LANES. Proof of process: four people working at once between offer and keys, each on their own track, with the days across the top.TL-planTHE YEAR. New year, real plan: twelve months, the ones that matter filled in, ending with a summer move.TL-fallTHE SPINE again, dated: the fall market after Labor Day, six weeks that matter.TL-took-navyThe spine on navy.TL-dom-navyThe dial on navy.TL-process-navyThe lanes on navy.
